While she was away from her home waters in Copenhagen, gracing the Danish Pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai (above), the irreplaceable Little Mermaid was replaced.

The video installation is by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei.
The Expo is over so I assume the Little Mermaid is on her way home. Hopefully Martin de Thura is chronicling her return migration. Perhaps it's being broadcast on Ai Weiwei's screen?
