A Bowl Full of Shells~Repost

2010 07 28_7951

Today I want to show you my summer tablescape with a lot of sea shells!  I am a little behind on this but it is still summer, right?

I made this tablescape with things that I already had around the house.

I started with some of my favorite Pottery Barn glass candle holders and added a candle and some lovely sea shells.

Then I added sliver chargers, plates, bowls, wine glasses and napkins with rings.

I just wanted to keep it simple!

For extra pizzazz, I added a little starfish in each wine glass.  I think that looks cute, what do you think?

I also added a couple of shells to each bowl, just for fun!

Here is a picture of all the bowls.  I made each one a little different.

Here is another view of my table!

Here is a close up!

I even changed up my other little table in my dinning room.

I used this summery plate to add color and it matches my napkins.

I even snuck in this cute little shell that I picked up at a garage sale for 50 cents.

I am borrowing these flowers from my master bedroom and put them in a vase that I bought at a garage sale  for $3 and spray painted sliver.

I hope that you liked this simple, summery, sea shell  tablescape!

A Simple January Vignette

2011 01 24_2127

It felt so good to put all my Christmas decor away!  I LOVE Christmas decorating but after the new year when it is all put away, my house just feels so clean, simple and fresh!   LOVE that!!! :)

I kept my house totally “undecorated” meaning I didn’t put anything back that I took away for my Christmas stuff.  (except for the bigger stuff).

It took me a couple of days to get used to it but I LOVED having less stuff around!

But this week I was itching to bring a couple of new, fresh items out!

2011 01 24_2126

So I decorated my favorite little table in my house.

2011 01 24_2128

This is one of the first things that you can see when you enter my house.  I love this little table and bought it a couple years ago from a garage sale for only $30! Boo-Yah!!!

2011 01 24_2129

I knew I wanted to use this frame that I bought from a garage sale over the summer.

2011 01 24_2130

So on Saturday, I took pictures of my little kiddos to fit the frame.

2011 01 24_2131

I wanted to take new 2011 pictures that would be neutral and match my house.

 2011 01 24_2132

So I used my house as the background…I knew that would match, lol!

Then I added a couple of other light  accessories.

2011 01 24_2134

I wanted a simple and fresh look! :)

2011 01 24_2135

And I just had to add a little pot of flowers.

2011 01 24_2136

I LOVE flowers…even though these are fake.  Shhh, lol! :)

2011 01 24_2141

I am really happy how my little vignette turned out!

Simple. Clean. Fresh. Light.

What kind of decorating did you do after you put all the Christmas decor away?

Did you cut back?

Did you change it up at all?

Have a great day! :)

A Simple Christmas Vignette

2010 12 20_1567

I know that this post is a little late but here you go! :)

2010 12 20_1574

I wrapped this cute Merry Christmas sign around a candle holder.

2010 12 20_1568

I decorated with picture frames and already had and pinecones.

2010 12 20_1569

I just filled the frames with wintery pictures of the kids!  I love doing that!!! :)

2010 12 20_1570

I LOVE the nature look.  I just took a candle holder that I had and filled it with acorns that the kids picked and added a couple branches from our tree.

2010 12 20_1571

This tree is from a garage sale.

2010 12 20_1572

The greenery is not real but it looks real, doesn’t it?  I also bought that from a garage sale.

2010 12 20_1578

That’s it….simple, festive and free…except for the pictures but those were cheap and they don’t count because I need them.

I hope you all have a Merry and Blessed Christmas!
