Home Tour: Living Room

Happy Monday!!!

I am so glad that you are loving my home tour.  Thank you for all your comments. :)  It's about time I did this.  I figured I would show you before we move, lol!

Today is our living room!

This is another very simple room!  (That seems to be theme around here.)  I really wanted a perfectly detailed and decorated home but it was taking more time than I wanted to spend so simple it is!!  Plus, we always have so much "stuff" out that we use on a regular

The paint color in here in called, Fairway Oaks from Benjamin Moore.  

The painting, clock, and pillows are all from garage sales and everything else in the room is from my Mother-in-Law.

Ok, I forgot, this Pottery Barn lamp is from a garage sale too! (Yes, I know, we have the best sales around here.)

I didn't want to curtains in here and I feel that it makes this room clean and simple.

Oh, wait......we can't forgot about my husband's trophy over here, lol.  

He is very proud! 

So, there you go! That is our very simple living room!

It is mostly used for cuddling up to read.

SOFA ARRIVED / MEGJÖTT A KANAPÉNK

Slowly I got better from sickness so I can catch up with my things again. This week we got our new sofa! :) We have to get used to it in the living room, but I'm really pleased. Looks perfect.

Végre kigyógyultam a megfázásból és újra foglalkozhatok a dolgaimmal. A héten megjött az új kanapénk! Még hozzá kell szokni, hogy ahogy a nagy üres teret kitölti végre valami ülőalkalmatosság, nemcsak a két fotel árválkodik a tévé előtt. Amúgy nagyon elégedett vagyok, szerintem tökéletes lesz néhány színes párnával. Jövő héten végre lesz időm és erőm foglalkozni a szépítgetésével. Bőven van mit. :) Addig is néhány kép.

Our Dining Room Do Over

 

I hope that you are all having a great weekend so far.  I just have to tell you that I just got some great deals from my neighborhood garage sale  this week and I can’t wait to show you my stuff at my Twice Owned Tuesday Party.   Please join me because this week is going to be GREAT!!!

Today, I want to show you my NEW dining room!!!

I am excited because, for the seven years I have been married, I have never had a dining room or a dining  set.  When we first got married, we didn’t have a dining room and in this house, we turned our dining room into a living room.  And we turned our living room into a study. 

But when we got  a free dining room set from my Mother-in-Law, I could wait to re-arrange my house. 

I want to show you my NEW DINING ROOM.

     

I love having a table to decorate.  I showed you here that I got all these items on the table for for only $34.00 .

      

I added this planter that I got from a garage sale for only $3.

    

Here are my before and afters.

This is this room as a living room.

Before.

I changed the vase for a candle holder that my MIL gave me and the picture that I got from a garage sale.

Before.  I don’t know how to get a good picture at this angle because of the windows.

After.  I would love to find a hutch to put in place of the mirror.  I will keep my eye open for one.

After.  I love it!!  I liked it before too but I love the change and a table to decorate.
