I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but for birthdays now we've decided to try the following. One gift is given to the birthday child on their birthday, cake and ice cream. Yes, small and simple but that isn't all. A few days later, since each one has happened to be on the weekday, we take them Birthday Shopping. Each child is given a set amount to spend on ONLY them, they are NOT allowed to buy
